Even a seemingly simple task like opening the hood of your car can become complicated if you don't know how to do it. That's why, in this video, we will see how to open the front hood of the Toyota RAV-4 MK4: the hood release lever is located on the lower left side of the dashboard, on the driver's side, in the case of left-hand drive. We will find a square-shaped lever with an image of the raised hood of the car. We lift it and hear a "click": that's the hood opening. Now we go to the front of the car, where the hood will have lifted a couple of inches. We slide our hand to the center, push to the side, and with the other hand, lift the hood. Then we take the prop rod and secure it so that the hood remains raised even when we let go with our hand.
