Remove the Timing Belt on a Toyota Rav 4

Learn how to replace the timing belt on a Toyota Rav 4. Open the bonnet and lift it, securing it in place. Use a socket spanner to remove the coolant reservoir, and the plastic cover on the front bumper. Disconnect the power wiring using pliers. Lift the car with a column lift to access the underside. Remove the wheel and use a screwdriver to take off the side plastic undertray. Use a fixed spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt out of its seat. Fit the new belt and tighten everything with the socket spanner. Finally, refit the reservoir and the plastic cover with the securing pins.
