Cleaning the airflow meter of the Toyota Yaris XP10

After the yellow engine malfunction light comes on and a diagnosis through the OBD port confirms that the problem is due to the airflow meter, we proceed with its cleaning. We open the engine hood, release the clips that hold the air filter cover and remove it, unscrew the three screws that secure the filter box body, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the rest of the filter box. We unscrew the two screws that secure the sensor on the right side of the air intake, clean it using low-pressure compressed air and a specific spray cleaner, dry it well and reassemble the sensor, the filter box and reconnect the connector.
