Cleaning the MAF sensor of the Toyota Yaris XP10

To clean the MAF sensor of the Toyota Yaris, we open the front hood, release the metal clips of the air filter cover and remove it. Using a socket wrench with an extension, we unscrew the three bolts that secure the filter box to the engine. We remove the vent tubes and the connector on the right side, and the sensor connector on the left side, remove the box and place it on a work surface. Using a Phillips screwdriver, we unscrew the two screws that secure the sensor, remove it and clean it using a specific spray cleaner, let it dry and reassemble the sensor in its seat, place the box back in place, restore the connections and close the cover.
