Application of Steering Wheel Covering

The operation of covering the steering wheel can be carried out directly on the vehicle without necessarily removing the steering wheel itself.
The accessory kit includes the shaped covering, needle, and thread.
Before applying the covering, it is advisable to remove any cracks (or raised parts) present to ensure perfect adhesion of the new covering.
Position the new covering to perfectly align the covering part of the spokes and ensure the seam meets perfectly at the centre of the inner part of the steering wheel.
At this point, proceed with sewing the seams (which must be done with a single thread, meaning do not knot the two ends of the thread threaded through the needle, but the knot should be made on only one of the two seams) following the holes in a criss-cross manner; sew one sector of the steering wheel at a time (that is, the one between the spokes: one longer top one, and two smaller side ones) and the length of the thread should be twice the circumference section to be sewn to avoid unsightly joins (fold the thread in two and measure the length of the circumference section to be sewn between the two spokes); make a knot at the end of the sewing.
Once the sewing of the three portions of the steering wheel is complete, pass the covering part of the spokes under the airbag and glue them behind the spokes using the appropriate adhesive already present.
