How does Toyota's e-CVT automatic transmission work?

In this video we can see the operation of the Toyota e-CVT automatic transmission, on a Corolla. "P" is the Parking position, and the one from which we must start our journey, or when we finish it. "R" is intuitively the reverse, and "N" stands for neutral, so idle. The position to move forward is instead "D" which stands for "drive"; just release the brake slowly and the car will move forward. If we move the transmission to "B" or "S" (this depends on the model) it will allow us to increase traction, for example on a mountain pass descent, descending safely, without overheating the brakes, and at the same time recharging the battery. Never switch from "P" to "D" or from "D" to "R" when the vehicle is in motion, and never use the "B" or "S" option on flat terrain.
