Resetting the Oil Light on a 2008 Toyota Prius

Through this video, you can learn how to reset the oil light on a 2008 Toyota Prius, after having performed the necessary maintenance, namely the engine oil change and possibly the corresponding filter. Get in the car and click the ignition button twice to activate the instrument panel, then use the TRIP button to display the odometer on the dashboard. Turn off the car, keep the TRIP button pressed, and push the brake pedal down twice, then restart the vehicle. The TRIP button should only be released at the end, when you notice that the reset has indeed occurred.
