How to replace the engine oil and filter on a Toyota Yaris? In this video guide, learn how to proceed with the replacement. Open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard; lift the front bonnet. Raise the car with a column lift. Using a socket spanner, unscrew the large securing bolt of the container where the oil filter is located. Remove and extract the worn oil filter and position a new one; unscrew the bolt of the oil sump; allow the fluid to drain into a container. Finally, top up with the new fluid and close the front bonnet.
