Let's look at the process for changing the transmission oil on a Toyota RAV4. Position your car on a column lift and raise it to a comfortable height for work. To change the transmission oil, you need to unscrew the bolts on it using a socket wrench.

Once the bolts are unscrewed, allow the fluid to drain into a container. Prepare to re-screw all the bolts on the transmission with the socket wrench, then refill it with the appropriate transmission fluid.

Test the correct operation of the transmission once the car is back on the ground.
