Replace Remote Key Battery for Toyota Prius

Is the battery in your Toyota Prius key dead? Here's how to disassemble the key. Take the remote key and separate the metal key; remove the rear shell of the key by pressing the button on the side. Using a screwdriver, unscrew the screws in the key, then extract the dead battery. Take a new one of the same size and voltage. Fit the new battery, reassemble the cover, and screw in the screws. Join the plastic parts of the key and insert the metal key into the cover. Check the operation of the Prius remote key.
