Removing Starter Motor on Yaris

Model: Toyota Yaris Xp90 - Years 2005-2011

Let's see how to remove the starter motor on a Yaris. Remove the starter motor from inside the engine compartment (front compartment). Disconnect the battery power cables: remove the battery and the tray. Disconnect the power terminals of the starter motor with pliers or a screwdriver depending on the pressure of the tabs. Detach the starter motor and remove it from the engine compartment (access from below to disconnect or unscrew other screws). Install the new starter motor by connecting the power cables and the associated securing screws. Perform a test start of the car.
