To replace the starter motor on the Toyota Yaris, lift the car with a jack to access the components located at the bottom of the engine bay. Here you will find the starter motor right next to the engine block, in line with the flywheel. To remove the starter from its housing, disconnect the connector and loosen the screws that secure it; this will allow you to insert the new replacement starter, securing and connecting it properly, then check that everything functions correctly.
