Replacing Boot Struts on a Toyota Auris

Model: Toyota Auris E150 - Years 2007-2012

Open the boot lid and support it with a hydraulic jack, as there will be nothing to hold it once you remove the struts. Using a medium-small flathead screwdriver, unclip the retaining ring that connects the gas support strut to the boot lid, then do the same to unclip it at the lower attachment to the bodywork. Perform the same operation on the other strut, and both will be removed. Clean the strut attachments on the car, then proceed with the installation, which is very simple: just forcefully fit the strut attachments until the retaining ring clicks into place.
