Remove the metal key from the Toyota Prius key fob. Once the metal key is removed, insert it between the two plastic halves of the fob to separate them. Use a small screwdriver to extract the worn battery and take a new one of the same type and voltage to avoid issues.

Fit the new battery and press the plastic halves of the fob together until you hear a click. Check if the key fob works correctly.
