Replacing a Rear Suspension

Model: Toyota Yaris Xp10 - Years 1999-2005

This video demonstrates the removal and replacement of a worn rear suspension on a Toyota Yaris. First, lift the vehicle on a jack and secure it (wooden chocks were used in the video). Next, remove the rear wheel. Using an 18 mm socket, undo the lower bolt of the shock absorber. Further lift the jack and proceed to remove the suspension: in this case, it is literally pulled out by hand. A new one is then taken and compared with the old one before being placed on the old seals (if still in good condition). At this point, align (using the jack) and secure the shock absorber again. Finally, refit the wheel as before.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
