Replacing the Rear Shock Absorbers

Replacing the rear shock absorbers is quite straightforward, especially since the springs are mounted externally to the damper; lift the vehicle without removing the rear wheel and unscrew the bolt that secures the lower eye of the shock absorber to the rear axle: you will need to place a support jack under the axle to extract the bolt; then lower the vehicle to access the boot, remove the cap on the top mount and the rubber cap on the shaft; unscrew the nut that secures the shaft to the top mount and extract the shock absorber from its seat; then fit the dust cover onto the new shock absorber and proceed in reverse for installation.
