Front Shock Absorber Replacement

Model: Toyota Yaris Xp90 - Years 2005-2011

To replace the front shock absorbers, you first need the appropriate tool to compress the spring. Lift the vehicle on the ramp and remove the front wheel. Then disconnect the link (the rod) that connects the shock absorber to the anti-roll bar and remove the support bracket for the brake fluid pipe. At this point, unscrew the two bolts that secure the shock absorber to the hub support and access the engine bay to unscrew the nut securing the shock absorber rod to the body strut. Now compress the spring to remove the upper support and slide out the spring and dust cover. Then fit the spring, dust cover, and support to the new shock absorber and proceed in reverse for installation.
