How to Replace the Engine Oil and Filter of the Toyota Camry XV50

This guide shows how to perform the engine oil replacement for the Toyota Camry XV50. The first step is to open the hood and remove the oil filler cap. Once the vehicle is safely lifted, locate the oil filter position and remove the protective cap, after placing a container under the vehicle. Insert the drain spout into the opening created and wait for the lubricant to drain from the filter cartridge. Using a 14mm wrench, remove the drain plug from the oil pan and let all the fluid drain out. After removing the drain spout, use the filter removal tool to loosen the mount. Pull out the cartridge and discard the gasket. Clean the containment pan of the cartridge and the upper block. Install the new cartridge and gasket, lubricating this component. Reattach the cartridge mount and tighten it to the specified torque in the owner's manual. Lubricate the replacement gasket of the filter drain plug and reinstall it. Close the oil pan cap and clean up any oil residue. Lower the vehicle and refill with engine oil. Start the engine for a few minutes and check the fluid level.
