Let's find out in this short and simple guide how to remove and replace the engine air filter of the Toyota RAV 4 fourth series, with VVT-I engine. First we open the engine hood and start by unhooking and removing the cover of the air filter box, which we find on the right; to do this we release the two metal tabs that we find on the sides, as shown in the video. At this point we remove and replace the air filter with the new one, of the right type, inserting it in the correct direction; we hook the tabs again to close the filter box!
