Replacing the button battery inside the smart key of a Toyota Corolla is undoubtedly one of the simplest tasks to carry out independently. You will only need a standard flathead screwdriver. First, insert the head of the screwdriver into the small slot located at the bottom of the cover. Apply a slight outward push to remove the cover. Just underneath is the button battery. Remove it using the screwdriver and replace it with a new compatible one. Finally, correctly reposition the cover, and you are done.
