In this tutorial, see how to replace the air filter in a Toyota RAV4, a very simple and quick operation. First, obtain the correct replacement part. With the engine off and cold, open the bonnet and locate the airbox on the driver's side, just behind the battery. At this point, unlock the box by releasing the metal clips on the left side, remove the old filter, and thoroughly clean the inside of any leaves and dirt. Finally, insert the replacement in the correct orientation and follow the reverse procedure to reassemble everything.
