Replacing the Transmission of a Car

The transmission is one of the most important components of a car and is responsible for providing movement and power to the driven wheels. Replacing a driveshaft transmission is a lengthy and complex operation, but it is certainly important. To begin disassembly, raise the car on a lift to gain better visibility of the area you will be working on. Once the procedure to remove the bracket is complete, you can proceed to remove the driveshaft by leveraging against the reducer. After removing the driveshaft, replace the bearings. Repeat this operation on the flanges and the universal joints. At this point, the transmission has been disassembled.
