Replacing the headlight bulbs in a Toyota 4Runner is a very simple task. First, ensure the key is not in the ignition. Open the hood, locate the large cap at the back of the headlight, and remove it. To take out the bulb, simply rotate the socket counterclockwise about 45 degrees. Disconnect the connector and install the replacement, an H11, by reversing the procedure. It is important not to touch the glass of the bulb with bare hands, as organic residues can cause overheating and premature failure.
