In this tutorial, you will see how to reprogram the remote for the Toyota 4Runner, a very simple and quick operation to perform, for example, after replacing the battery. First, go inside the cabin while leaving the driver's door open, then insert and remove the key twice in succession and close and open the door also twice in succession.

Next, insert the key again, remove it, repeat the step with the door, and insert the key one more time. At this point, just close the door completely, turn on the instrument cluster, turn it off, hold down both the lock and unlock buttons on the remote, and finally press only the lock button.
