In the following video, you will see an affordable trick to replace the rear hatch handle on a 2003 Toyota Sequoia. As explained in the video, after years of use, this handle may get damaged and needs replacement.

First, you need to remove the rear handle by prying around its edges. Once it comes out, simply replace it with the new handle, ensuring that a small cable is protruding, which will be used to open the hatch.

At this point, you can reposition the license plate and screw it in place with the appropriate screws at the top, while the lower hole allows the cable to exit and be used, as shown in the video, to open the hatch.
