To replace the alternator on a Toyota Rav 4, open the bonnet to access the screws securing the cover at the front of the engine bay. Once this is removed, you can access the screws securing the alternator from the top. The screws securing it from the bottom will be accessible by removing the right front wheel and the inner wheel arch cover. By moving the serpentine belt, you can completely remove the alternator and replace it with a new part.
