Toyota Yaris - Video tutorial
Model: Toyota Yaris
Xp10
- Years 1999-2005 The oxygen sensor, or lambda probe as we are used to calling it, has a fundamental function in the preparation of the fuel and air mixture since, according to the quantity of oxygen detected by the probe in the exhaust gases, the mixture itself is prepared: a incorrect operation of the probe can certainly cause excessive fuel consumption. To carry out this maintenance it is advisable to operate with a cold engine since the probe is located right on the exhaust pipe; then lift the car and unscrew the probe using a key and a long lever since the continuous thermal cycles could almost have "welded" the probe itself to its seat; once unscrewed, disconnect the plug and proceed backwards to install the new one.
