How to Replace the Rear Bulb on a Toyota Prius

To replace the bulb or socket of the rear headlight, start by opening the trunk. Using a socket wrench, remove the bolts on the inner side of the rear headlight. Once the bolts are removed, take out the headlight, being careful of the clips. Identify the bulb to be replaced, unscrew it from the socket, and remove the bulb. Take the new bulb and install it in place of the old one, screwing it back into the socket. Verify that the new bulb works, then reinstall the headlight, ensuring the clips are secure. Finally, screw the inner bolts of the headlight back in and close the trunk.
