In this tutorial, you will see how to replace the alternator in a Toyota Camry, a very simple task if you have good manual skills. First, ensure the key is not in the ignition, then open the hood and disconnect the battery.

Next, locate the alternator on the right side, grab the tensioner with a 19mm socket wrench, and loosen the tension to release the belt from the pulley. Disconnect the power terminals from the alternator, remove the various mounting bolts with a 12mm wrench, and separate it from the bracket.

To install the replacement, simply follow the reverse procedure.
