First, get into the vehicle and start by detaching the gaiter from the knob by lowering it; then, unscrew the gear knob counter-clockwise, removing it from the lever, as shown in the video. At this point, install the new gear knob (in this case, a new knob with an adapter is being installed); finally, refit the gaiter onto the new knob!
