Where to Find the Fuses in the Toyota Hilux

The Toyota Hilux has several fuse boxes: the one in the engine compartment is located behind the car battery; remove the cover by disengaging the tabs to access the fuses. The other two in the cabin are located behind the glove compartment: pull the glove compartment out by first pulling from one side and then the other, remove the upper plastic in the passenger footwell by disengaging the tabs, and also the plastic on the left side of the passenger footwell (for left-hand drive vehicles, the plastic is on the right side of the passenger footwell) and the passenger side kick panel.

Once the plastics are removed, you will see a small black fuse box, and if you look down, you will find another white fuse box (the plastics in the video have already been removed). Once you find the fuse to change, grab it with small pliers, pull it out, check if the bridge inside the fuse is broken; if it is, the fuse needs to be replaced; otherwise, the fuse is working.

After checking the fuse, take the new fuse and insert it in place of the old one; the new fuse must have the same amperage as the previous one.
