How to mount snow chains

In this video we see how to mount snow chains, which are mandatory on many roads as equipment to keep in the car (or the mounting of winter or M+S tires); but we need to know how to use them, in case of necessity. First of all, we need to check in the user manual if our car can mount them: in fact, many modern cars are "not chainable" due to the many sensors mounted on the front wheels, which normal chains could damage. However, there are thinner chains, made specifically for these cars. Let's learn how to mount them, to avoid finding ourselves in difficulty when needed: the chains must be mounted on the driving wheels: pass the rigid arch behind the tire and hook it inside, then pass the tensioning chain from the outside and lock the clip. Driving with chains requires moderate speed, and after a couple of kilometers we should stop to check that the tension of the chains is correct. Do not drive with chains if the asphalt is free of snow or ice.
