Meaning of Dashboard Warning Lights

In this video, we can see a small sample of the most common warning lights found on the dashboards of modern vehicles. Naturally, each vehicle has specific warning lights for its brand, but there is an international coding system that allows us to identify at a glance which categories of lights we are talking about. Red lights are the most important: they indicate immediate danger and require the vehicle to be stopped to resolve a dangerous situation instantly. Yellow/orange lights warn us of a danger that can be resolved more calmly, or of a situation that, if neglected, can become dangerous. Green lights simply indicate that a normal function of the vehicle is in operation, nothing more. White lights are usually informational and are often accompanied by written warnings. The only blue/purple light is usually for the main beam headlights.
