How to Disable the Start&Stop System

Although the Start&Stop system has been around for over 10 years, drivers still wonder why it was created and installed in vehicles and how to disable it. The system was designed to reduce pollution; in diesel vehicles, it connects to the EGR valve and the engine, while in petrol vehicles, it connects to the catalytic converter. For many drivers, the system presents only disadvantages; due to constant use, the battery must have greater power, and the starter motor is subject to frequent checks and often replacements since the system intervenes during the vehicle's shutdown phases, such as when stopped at traffic lights. Most vehicles have a system shutdown button that, when pressed, disables it. However, once the engine is turned off and restarted, the system resumes normal operation. Some drivers wonder if it is possible to permanently disable the system. This action is not entirely legal. There are two ways to permanently disable the system: the first is to act directly through the official dealership via official diagnostics, modifying the system's electronics to deactivate it. The second way is to open the front bonnet and disconnect the connector of the sensor connected to the negative battery terminal. This will permanently disable the system.
