The Correct Way to Adjust the Driver's Seat

Let’s see how to properly adjust the driver's seat for the best driving position: start by putting everything in the most extreme position; move the seat all the way back on the track, recline the backrest very far back, and remove all lumbar adjustment. Also, move the steering wheel all the way to the side. This is the worst position: from here, we will start optimising the various elements. Adjust the seat until you have a clear and comfortable view of the bonnet, dashboard, and above the steering wheel: you must see the road without obstructions. Then, with the brake fully pressed, move the seat forward: your leg should neither be stretched nor too bent to hit your knee against the dashboard. Ensure your back is well supported against the backrest and adjust the inclination so you can rest your wrists on the steering wheel without lifting your shoulders off the seat; now adjust the lumbar support to fill the gap in your back. Now adjust the steering wheel so you can see the dials without the edge of the wheel obstructing them. Finally, adjust the headrest: the top of it should be at the height of the top of your head. Consequently, also adjust the exterior mirror to see the outer side of the vehicle.
