We are talking about Cleardiesel from PowerService. This is an additive for diesel and petrol produced by Power Service, an American chemical company. Its main functions are to clean the tank of dirt and deposits, disinfect by eliminating bacteria and microbial activity, and remove water present in the fuel. Cleaning the tanks is advisable because moisture and condensation form in the tanks; water promotes the proliferation of bacteria and microbes (biological contamination). This phenomenon is more severe in vehicles that remain stationary for long periods, such as campers (which stay stationary all winter), agricultural and construction vehicles, and boats. Microbes and water damage the injection system. On modern common rail engines, the damage can be severe and costly. Contaminated diesel loses its lubricating power, wearing out the pump and injectors. It is advisable to use it once a year, with a dosage proportional to the tank capacity (as a preventive measure). When contamination is already present, then it should be used at full dosage, according to the instructions on the packaging. The product is poured directly into the tank and activates with normal driving.
