How to clean the throttle body

If the engine of our car is running irregularly, especially at idle, and there is an increase in fuel consumption, the cause may be the throttle body that needs cleaning. To do this, consult the owner's manual to identify its location, which can vary from car to car. Let the car cool down and start by removing the components of the throttle body's intake system, disconnect the electrical connectors and control cables, and unscrew the fastening bolts. Insert a rag into the intake hole, following the manufacturer's instructions, apply the cleaner to the various parts using a brush (remember to use appropriate protection when handling chemicals), and finish by cleaning everything with a microfiber cloth. Reassemble all the components in reverse order of the disassembly process.
