How to Clean the Throttle Body

This guide shows how to thoroughly clean the throttle body, which is primarily responsible for issues such as stuttering. This problem often occurs during startup and with an unstable idle. First, check the spark plugs, followed by the spark plug leads. If there are no issues with these two components, inspect the throttle body. The real dirt is not visible unless the part is completely disassembled. Clean it with solvent and a brush, taking care not to touch the plastic parts. Then, use very fine sandpaper on the external parts. After cleaning, check the air passages. It is essential that these passages remain clear, as blockages can cause the engine to stutter, especially in vehicles running on gas (LPG and methane).
