In this video we can see how it is possible to clean the throttle body of a car without necessarily having to remove it from its housing inside the engine. In the video we see how the throttle body is very encrusted. In this specific case, it was cleaned by hand with a cloth soaked in gasoline. The dirt remains on the cloth, although some do not appreciate gasoline too much because it tends to dry out surfaces and can create friction. Another method is to use a specific brake cleaner to spray directly on the throttle body, let it sit, then brush with an old toothbrush, and finally dry with a soft cloth. There are supporters and detractors of both techniques.
