The procedure for replacing a car's tensioner is quite complicated, and it is advisable to consult a professional to avoid damage to both the vehicle and yourself. However, if you have some experience and wish to attempt the replacement yourself, follow the steps below. First, remove the wheel arch liner above the front wheel to access the tensioner. Once done, use a 13mm spanner to lower the tensioner and a screw to secure it, as shown in the video. Next, using a Torx key, unscrew the upper bolt to detach the tensioner from its housing. Then take the new part and install it in its place.
