In this video tutorial, we can see how to replace the pulley of the tensioner roller of the Poly-V belt, following some fundamental steps: the reasons for needing to replace the tensioner pulley can vary, such as jams or noises at engine start or during operation. To replace the tensioner pulley, the belt must be removed. The materials needed for this job include a new tensioner pulley kit, a set of specific tools, a torque wrench, anaerobic sealant, WD-40 lubricant spray, and a wire brush. Lift the bonnet and secure it with the appropriate prop. In some vehicles, it may be necessary to remove the wheel and some body parts; in others, access can be made from the right front wheel arch. You can take a photo or draw a diagram of the belt routing. Loosen the serpentine belt, release the tensioning mechanism, attach a suitable tool to the tensioner, and move it to one side; after loosening the belt, remove it from one of the pulleys, return the tensioning mechanism to its original position, and remove the belt from the other pulleys as well. Check if the various parts show any damage and replace them if necessary. Remove the pulley cover and unscrew the pulley fastening element, then remove it. Clean the tensioner seat and install the new pulley with a new fastening element.
