The first step is to purchase a suitable battery for your vehicle; refer to the instructions in your vehicle registration document. Inside the package, you will find the electrolyte in a transparent container, which must be added to the new battery. There are also pins that need to be connected to the electrical system. Wearing gloves and safety goggles, take the electrolyte container (be careful as it contains sulphuric acid), remove the cap (do not discard the cap as it is needed to seal the battery permanently); then take the transparent container and invert it over the battery (follow the direction of the yellow arrows), press to break the seals and allow the liquid to flow into the battery; it is advisable to work on a flat surface. Now take a battery charger and connect the clamps securely to the positive and negative terminals; set the dial to slow charge and leave it for at least 4 hours, ensuring the battery is without the caps during this operation. Once the battery is charged, check with a tester to see if it has charged sufficiently.
