How to Release the Electric Parking Brake (EPB) in an Emergency

This procedure applies to both Hyundai and Kia vehicles and is used to manually release the EPB (Electric Parking Brake) when the battery is flat. It is advisable to perform this operation on level ground and select the "P" option on the gear lever. If possible, place a chock behind the front wheels. In the toolbox, there is a release tool to connect to the emergency cable located at the bottom of the boot, and pull it upwards. After completing this operation, press the EPB button, and a text message will appear on the dashboard.
