In this video tutorial, we can see how to replace the starter motor on the Ape 50 by following a few simple steps: the first thing to do is to purchase a new starter motor from an authorized dealer. Turn off the ignition and lift the Ape with a jack and place safety stands. Remove the engine cover, use a ratchet wrench with a 10mm socket to unscrew the mounting bolts of the starter motor; once the two bolts are removed, we can also remove the starter motor. Now we need to remove the cable that supplies it with power, to remove it we need to remove the rubber cap and use an 8mm wrench to unscrew the bolt that secures the cable ring. Now the starter motor is ready to be replaced with a new one.
