How to Replace the Starter Motor on the Ape 50

In this video tutorial, see how to replace the starter motor on the Ape 50 by following a few simple steps: the first thing to do is to purchase a new starter motor from an authorised dealer. Switch off the ignition and lift the Ape with a jack, placing safety stands underneath. Remove the engine cover, using a ratchet with a 10 mm socket to undo the bolts securing the starter motor; once the two bolts are removed, you can also take out the starter motor. Now, disconnect the power cable; to do this, remove the rubber cap and use an 8 mm spanner to undo the bolt securing the cable ring. The starter motor is now ready to be replaced with a new one.
