What are full hybrid cars? They are cars that, in addition to an internal combustion engine, also have an electric motor that can provide traction to the wheels: the goal is to minimize the use of the gasoline engine. The electric motor recharges itself by harnessing kinetic energy. But let's see some tips: Start gently and gradually. Only in this way the internal combustion engine will not turn on; braking is an opportunity to accumulate energy, but even this should be done smoothly, no sudden braking. Descents also recharge the battery, by slightly pressing the brake pedal to activate the brake function, and selecting this function on the gearbox, in order to also use the engine brake. Then, we must learn to "sail", that is, to maintain speed with the electric motor alone; take advantage of cruise control on long trips, especially on the highway. Pay attention, because depending on the type of car, regular cruise control may be preferable to adaptive cruise control, as it could help us avoid sudden braking. Remember that the "eco" system is usually the best way to avoid pressing too hard on the accelerator. Always keep an eye on the instrumentation: the car always provides useful information and knowing how to read it means improving more and more. There are also other modes to consider, for example, the recirculation mode of the air conditioning system allows for energy savings. Additionally, hybrid cars generally have low rolling resistance tires, and they should always be checked for the correct pressure.

Handbrake adjustment on Ford Ecosport

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes. Also in this case it is not necessary to remove it completely but, paying attention to the connected cables, it can be stowed in front of the passenger seat. At this point we notice that at the base of the handbrake lever, on the front, we find a nut. By acting on it, with a 10 wrench, we can adjust the brake force, increasing it by turning the nut clockwise, or decreasing it by turning it counterclockwise. Once adjusted, the center console can be repositioned first, pressing lightly to engage it, and then the profile of the gearbox base.
