Operation: What is the meaning of the EPC indicator on Seat and Volkswagen cars?

The acronym EPC stands for Electronic Power Control and it is a warning that manages the ignition and power supply of the engine. When one of the many possible problems occurs, the warning light comes on, along with the engine malfunction or a specific message. If it comes on at startup, it is a problem with the glow plugs, coil, or fuel pressure. If it comes on while driving, there may be a reading error in the throttle/brake/throttle body position sensors or in the wiring. If it comes on during acceleration, there is a faulty connection with the accelerator. The symptoms are jerking, limited speed, and overall poor performance of the car. To resolve this, we will need to use the codes that we will read through the OBD reader in order to clear the error, otherwise the warning light will not turn off on its own. In any case, it is advisable to seek the help of a good workshop.
