Dual Function of the Handbrake Warning Light

In this video, we see that the red warning light (indicating danger) with a double circle and an exclamation mark in the centre, known as the handbrake warning light, sometimes appears on our dashboard when we have mistakenly started driving with the handbrake still engaged - it has a dual meaning. In fact, if it lights up while we are driving, it means that the brake fluid pressure has dropped, likely due to a leak, making it very dangerous to continue driving as brake functionality may be compromised. The only thing to do is stop the vehicle and call for a tow truck.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
