Three Ways to Turn Off the Engine Warning Light

In this video, you will see three ways to turn off the engine warning light. Before turning off the light, ensure you have resolved the issue that caused the engine light to illuminate; otherwise, you would be doing something not only unnecessary but also dangerous. The first method is to use an OBD11 reader from the EOBD socket of your vehicle: after reading the code and fixing the problem, you can clear the error code. Consequently, the light will also turn off. The second method is to disconnect the negative terminals of the battery. Reconnecting them will reset the control unit, but this method has the disadvantage that you will need to re-enter the radio code, all stored stations, and reset the date and time. The last method is very simple and takes only a few seconds: in the fuse box, locate the one for the ECU (on some cars, it is called ECM), briefly remove the fuse, and then put it back in place. This will turn off the light.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y

To open the bonnet on this vehicle, follow these simple instructions: first, open the driver's door and locate the lever positioned just below the dashboard, marked with an image of the vehicle with the bonnet open. Pull this lever towards you until you hear a "click" indicating the bonnet is released. Next, exit the cabin and stand in front of the bonnet to disengage the safety catch and complete the opening. To do this, slightly lift the bonnet, locate the yellow lever underneath, and pull it to the left to fully release and open the bonnet.
