Replacing the Crankshaft Pulley

If you hear a noise coming from the engine bay while the engine is running, and it intensifies as the revs increase, it is likely that the crankshaft pulley driven by the auxiliary belt is damaged. This pulley typically consists of a rubber core that deteriorates over time, causing vibrations and squeaking. To replace this pulley, first remove the V-belt to free the pulley. Then, lift the vehicle, remove the front right wheel (passenger side), and take off the wheel arch liner to access the pulley. Next, unscrew the fixing bolts, remove the old pulley, and install the new one using the new set of bolts provided. At this stage, there is no risk of altering the timing.
