(Various brands) Various - Video tutorial

For what reason does the engine overheat, and above all, is there a way to restart it? We see it in this video. The first reason is obviously the fan that no longer works; especially in traffic, the radiator cannot dissipate the heat and the car overheats. The reasons why this happens can be several: a blown fuse, a hardened fan, burnt wiring. If we have a stuck thermostat, the remedy is to set the heating to the maximum possible temperature because the internal radiator takes water from the coolant without passing through the thermostat, and this helps to lower the temperature. Another thing to do is to maintain a constant speed in order to allow air to enter the radiator; turning off the engine would be much worse, as Ema explains in the video. Another case is a lack of coolant because the radiator is leaking. There are products called "leak stoppers" to be used in extreme cases. If the water pump is broken, you need to call a tow truck. If you open the expansion tank when the car is overheating, know that it is very, very dangerous.
